I haven't had time to mess around with it but I heard it's possible now to resize the game window or chat. Can you tell me how and explain what each option means?

r/TibiaMMO - Recent scaling modification update

Now there are 3 new buttons that have been avaliable since January 16th of 2024.
These buttons will appear when you click and drag the outline of the borders of the tibia screen (check the image below).

The info that community manager Liamas gave on the forum is the next one:

So after we saw this, I tested these new buttons, and I saw that they are for deciding which window gets resized first, or both.

If you aren't playing in full screen, you can resize the window, and you will see everything move, but the game window, for example, would stay the same size. You can use a hotkey to show your action bars, and it will minimizes your chat bar to keep your game window the same size , if you set it the other way it would have resized your game window to keep this chat window the same size  , or it will scale equally if you have the other option selected .

I
n short, in each option you choose what you want to have preference when rescaling the game window.

This will resize the chat first.
This will resize chat at screen at the same time.
This will resize the screen image first.

In addition to that, there is another setting that will change a bit of this behavior (check the image below):

How to Resize the Tibia Game Window and Chat (Version 13+)

Since recent updates (starting with Client 13), Tibia allows more flexible window and chat customization. Here’s how to adjust them and what each setting means:

1. Resizing the Game Window

How to do it:

  • Press Ctrl + F8 (or go to Options → Interface Settings → Layout).

  • Drag the window edges to resize freely.

What each option does:

  • Classic Mode: Fixed fullscreen (like older versions).

  • Dynamic Mode: Lets you freely resize the window (great for multitasking or large monitors).

  • UI Scale: Adjusts the size of interface elements (bars, icons) without changing resolution.

2. Customizing the Chat

How to do it:

  • Click the gear icon (⚙) in the chat corner.

  • Select "Resize Chat" and drag the dividers.

Available options:

  • Split Chat Vertically/Horizontally: Organize channels in columns or rows.

  • Transparency: Adjust to see the game behind the chat.

  • Font Size: Make text bigger/smaller without affecting layout.

3. Saving Custom Layouts

  • Go to Options → Interface Settings → Layout → Save Profile.

  • Name it (e.g., "Full HD" or "Big Chat") to switch between setups later.
