If I bought a rein, Does it reduce the chances of succed my mount If the person who sold the rein used it before?

I bought a rein from a person who was standing in the depot.

I literally used the rein once and it broke.

My question is, Is it possible the person who sold it could have tried to get it and tried several times till he gave up and instead of losing the items decided to sell it?

Does it have to do something about my rein broking?

In theory do not influence. Every item used to tame creatures has it own chance to broken. It means that every time you use the item it has the same chance to broken.
