The description of charms only indicates that the charm's range is a radius of 1. The question is:

Is the radius counted from the attacked monster or from the player?

In the latter case, it would be much more effective, especially in the case of knights who often collect the entire box while hunting.

Another question is what is the shape of the effect?

I don't have images to proof the charm triggering, but I've seen a brazilian streamer showing it live.

The charm triggers and it's effect happens in the same SQM of the creature that died. It works like a plus (+), it doesn't count in the diagonal, because that counts as more than 1 SQM.

Here is an example:

The targeted Gazer after dying will explode and damage all adjacent Gazers. That means it can only hit 4 Gazers in total if he was at the same SQM that I'm in (closed box).

Thanks for explanation. That's very helpful. Description doesn't say that radius is not including diagonal sqm's.

Here is the proof of carnage hitting adjacent creatures:

It does physical damage.

One thing that I had difficult is seeing it when it is actually triggered. I was also confused about the range of it. Thanks for the answer!
