what is the purpose of hunting tasks?

hunting tasks,

I have 1000 hunting points but I don't know what the mechanism is, if there is any benefit, I looked at a few pages and found that I can get a mount, could someone give me a brief summary?

You can use hunting task points to change with NPC Walter Jaeger for some decoration items and Falconer Outfits and Addons (150,000 points for outift and 50,000 points each addon) and the Antelope mount (250,000 points)
