Does the game chat have a limit of messages before older ones start to disappear?

I want to know the chat limit? How many lines do you need to make messages disappear from chat?

I am asking because I was making a boss yesterday, and I lost the message I wanted to copy after the boss.

Yes, I just tested it out. I saved my local chat on a .txt file, then copied it to an excel, to count the lines.

The maximum amount of lines is 1,000

After that, whenever a new msg is sent, the oldest one will disappear.

I have noticed some actions will delete messages written in the chat channels. Especially spells as they are basically written text. This is not due to text limit but some text (the spell words) replacing what was previously written, then, by the action of casting... <Enter> being pushed.

That being said there is a 232 character space limit in chat channels
