When you remove and use soft boots do you lose additional time on them?

In the past I thought you lost time if you removed and then put back on soft boots. It was like something ridiculous like 2 minutes. Did they change this or do you still lose additional time? I know I used to do this sometimes to repair soft boots faster.

When you put a Soft Boots you lose 6 seconds in their time. I just tested it now.

It takes 10 putts/removes to reduce 1 minute.
