The Ice Library is basically just Ice damage (unlike other sections, in which you got other types of damage). I've done many hunts in this section, so before we start, let me write down the creatures density, according to my bestiary, this will be important when deciding preys:
- Icecold Book
: 7,034 - Squid Warden
: 5,588 - Animated Feather
: 5,201 Kills
EQUIPMENT / IMBUEMENTS:
- Glacier Shoes
(5% Ice Protection) - Icy Culottes
(8% Ice Protection) - Bear Skin
with Powerful Quara Scale (15% Ice protection) - Slightly superior to the Frostmind Raidment
(8% Ice Protection) and still provides the same +4 Magic Level. - Dream Shroud
with Powerful Quara Scale (15% Ice Protection) is also an option but it has +3 Magic Level, so you would lose 1 Magic Level
- Falcon Circlet
with Powerful Void and Powerful Epiphany. It doesn't provide Ice resist, but the +6 Magic Level and the Mana Leech makes it much superior over the defensive options - Book of Lies
or Spirit Guide 
with Powerful Quara Scale (15% Ice Protection) - Falcon Rod
if you hunt on mana shield or Cobra Rod 
if you hunt on HP, in both cases with Powerful Epiphany and Powerful Strike (in this place the EK needs as much healing as possible, so Epipany is superior to Void) - Glacier Amulet
(20% Ice Protection) - Ring of Green Plasma
My optimal set would look like this:
The total Ice Resist will be: 1-0,95*0,92*0,85*0,85*0,8 = 49% Ice Resist
CHARMS:
- Enflame on: Icecold Book
- Poison / Zap / Curse / Wound on Squid Warden and Animated Feather
DEFENSE PREYS:
- Icecold Book : He should be the 1st option on defense prey. He has a wave that deals +1,200 damage and it hits the druids when they are on spot for Terra Wave
- Animated Feather : From my experience these guys tend to retarget more often, and they have very strong ranged attacks, they can literally hit you 1,500+ from distance in a single turn. And their density is similar to the Squid.
- Squid Warden
EXPERIENCE PREYS:
- Icecold Book : Highest Density
- Squid Warden : Same density as Animated Feather, but it gives you 18,000 Exp instead of the 11,600 from the feather, making the 40% Extra Experience more valuable on Squid Warden
