After the latest changes that were done to Charms I wonder if Cleanse can be considered a good option.

Does it work for any negative status? When Cleanse can be helpful?

The functionality of the charm remains the same, but its values have changed to 6% / 9% / 12%. I don't remember if the old value was ever reported, but it is certain that there was a nerf to the charm, as well as to all other minor charms.

According to TibiaWiki, it can remove the following status conditions:

  • Poisoned
  • Burning
  • Electrified
  • Freezing
  • Cursed
  • Dazzled
  • Bleeding
  • Slowed
  • Rooted
  • Feared

It is commonly used, for example, in places where creatures frequently paralyze. It can also be used to remove a condition for which the character does not have a cleansing spell, allowing for faster removal of a Protection Zone Block by removing long duration burning effects.

I personally think there are other more interesting minor charms, but if you have points to spend, and depending on the places you hunt, I would say it is worth it.

Cleanse  works removing one random negative condition the character has when it's triggered and grants temporary immunity to it for 11 seconds. Back in the day, this charm was often used on PvP servers to obtain a faster removal of a Protection Zone Block but after the 2024 Winter Update this charm can be helpful in many scenarios.

The following negative conditions can be removed with Cleanse:

  •  Bleeding
  •   Burning
  •  Cursed
  •  Dazzled
  •  Electrified
  •  Feared
  •  Freezing
  •  Poisoned
  •  Rooted
  •  Slowed

Notice that if you are Poisoned  from a Scorpion's attack you can remove this condition by being attacked by a Demon Skeleton, as long as you have Cleanse activated on it. So if you use it wisely it can be helpful in many spawns and from all level ranges.

Cleanse  charm effect has three stages:

  • First stage: 6% chance to cleanse one random negative status effect and gain temporary immunity to it for 11 seconds, costing 100 Minor Charm Echoes
  • Second stage: 9% chance to cleanse one random negative status effect and gain temporary immunity to it for 11 seconds, costing 150 Minor Charm Echoes
  • Third stage: 12% chance to cleanse one random negative status effect and gain temporary immunity to it for 11 seconds, costing 225 Minor Charm Echoes
  • Total cost for the third stage: 475 Minor Charm Echoes

Whenever Cleanse is triggered you will receive a message that appears on the Server Log and on your screen:

 Here are some examples:

  • You are no longer poisoned. (cleanse charm),
  • You are no longer slowed. (cleanse charm) ,
  • You are no longer rooted. (cleanse charm),
  • You are no longer feared. (cleanse charm).

After the 2024 Winter Update "Cleanse" can be considered one of the best passive charms available.

It can be helpful from early to mid and even to end game players. Minor Charms can already be assigned to a creature as soon as you have unlocked stage 2 of its Bestiary entry. And that's a game changer feature at some hunting grounds, from low levels to high levels.

Here are some examples of how Cleanse  can be considered one of the best Quality of Life (QoL) features from the 2024 Winter Update:

  • Removing  Slowed status:
    • This condition is dangereus especially for paladins and mages, trigerring Cleanse during hunts becomes handy and makes the hunt safer for low to mid levels. It can be applied to: Carniphilas, Quaras, Hydras, Vampires, Ancient Scarabs, Frost Dragons, Choking Fear and Retching Horrors, Crystal Spiders, Guzzlemaws, Medusas , Mummies  and many other hunting grounds that will be easier and smoother when combined with Cleanse.
  • Removing  Cursed status:
    • Receiving death damage over time won't be a problem for low to mid paladins hunting Ghastly Dragons once they have Cleanse triggers helping them with this negative status.
  • Removing  Rooted status:
    • Not being able to move for 2 seconds can be a huge issue for a team that's hunting on certaing areas like Rotten Wasteland, Sparkling Pools and Monster Graveyard.
  • Removing  Feared status:
    • Losing some of the players control over their characters, such as the ability to use any spells or equip gears like rings and amulets can be dangereus in some conditions while hunting on Ebb and Flow or at Cyrstal Engima. Being able to remove this negative status could be crucial to survive and to maintain the desired experience per hour that a high level team wants to achieve.

It's easy to see how Cleanse is a game changer passive charm when used with expertise. Whenever you're trying to use this charm on any of your hunts remeber that it's trigger chance relies on: each time you're hit by a creature you have a chance to cleanse one negative status, regardeless of the creature that applied the negative status on you, so be wise and select Cleanse  on the creature that hits you the most times each turn in order to increase your Cleanse trigger chances.

I'm sure this guide will be useful to all kinds of players in the game and I hope this answer can be helpfull for players to make their own decisions and enjoy their time playing Tibia.
