I sometimes work remotely utilizing a virtual desktop, in my case it's VMware Horizon client.

Let's hypothetically imagine that I would like to train on modified gnarlhounds (which is not very demanding or time-consuming activity) - utilizing my regular desktop and Tibia normally. And at the same time, I would have the virtual desktop software opened on 2nd monitor and perform some tasks at work.

Is it safe? Am I risking a BattlEye detection or some kind of conflict between Tibia client and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure?

I don't think anyone can answer this question. I see no reason why you would have a problem, but even CipSoft avoids saying anything is "100% safe" when you ask them directly. I suggest you open a ticket though, that will be a lot more reliable than anything anyone says here.

I opened a ticket to ask Tibia Customer Support and they said "These programs are not illegal but are also not supported. This means you won't be punished for using them, but you are using the programs at your own risk. Note that we strongly recommend not to use such programs as it poses a high risk for your account. Also, please understand that you lose all rights to support if you experience problems with the Tibia client due to using an external program."
