Is the "Feather and Inkwell" a temporarily obtainable quest item?

This is an item obtained in the quest "Cradle of Monsters". 

> When we finish the mission, do we lose the item or does it stay with us?

Feather and inkwell is not temporarily obtainable.

You use it to write on blank paper during The Cradle of Monsters Quest but the item never disappears, so as long as you don't discard it yourself the item remains with you even after completing the quest.
