Is it true that the boss Man in the Cave makes reference to a "joke"?

I heard that Cip implemented the boss Man in the Cave after a guy posted in the official forum something like "CIP THERE IS A MAN IN THE CAVE KILLING ME" referring to other player killing him, and this is why Man in the cave take us to his cave.

Is this true? This post exists?
