How far can I be from crossed spears and still summon Iks Ahpututu?

Question

We already know how to summon Iks Ahpututu, but how far can I be from crossed spears, kill iks creatures and still summon Iks Churrascan and Iks Ahpututu?

The farthest I've seen a successful spawn is having the creature die 8 sqm away from the fire pit if I counted correctly. I killed a creature on the square I am standing and the fire pit is just off screen diagonally to the North East.

I have updated my answer with a farther distance I discovered. I am not sure the limit but this is the farthest I have now seen.

You must be as close as possible to the cross spear, because when an iks chuka, iks aucar or iks pututu dies there is a greater chance that the iks churrascan will appear, you must kill them quickly so that the iks ahpututu can appear
