Can I borrow someone's full album to gain access to Lord Retro without making the album myself?

To gain access to Lord Retro one of the tasks is to create a full album. Do I need to make this album or can I borrow someone's full album to gain access? My friend said it worked this way for him but I didn't confirm it yet.

Yes, a friend can let you use their album, and you will get permanent access by completing the Lord Retro.

Yes, you can borrow the album, but the character must have access to the main boss, unless he already has a shortcut. The best way is to make more albums like I did for several characters, I made them all with the main character all at once so I don't flip them all the time. This also applies to other quest items, for example skulls. You can collect all items and give them to someone to enrty all teleports.

You don't really need multiple albums. One album can be used by all your characters and after killing the boss once you get access even without the album, so you don't need it at all anymore.
