Does spell “Find fiend” works when the creature uses invisibility?

Will the spell show me that fiendish creature is near by me if the monster used spell invisibility, or spell will show me location of the next monster closest to me?

The spell will show you the closest fiendish creature even if it's invisible.

I killed an invisible Reality Reaver yesterday and the spell said it was next to me and I couldn't find it.
