If I damage a boss and the boss heals itself does the damage I took before it healed count towards participation?

I've been researching the reward system in bosses and haven't seen this question answered yet. I know every boss is different and Cipsoft gives us very limited information when it comes to the reward system, but does anyone know the answer? I know there are other factors in the reward system and it's very complex, but I just want to know- If I damage a boss and the boss heals itself does the damage I took before it healed count towards participation?

no that's fine i do see how the two can get confused. i read that question 3x before i posted this answer just to make sure. and I'm definitely fine if admin wants to close it due to it being similar but they are different in my eyes

the damage even if healed counts to participation, i can say that cause in many servers people bug ( keep going down and up and attacking ) gazgaragoth for some hours( it ofteen heal itself during the day), and it works to frag him happened even to some lvl 300-400 in my server frag the boss stayng like 3 hours hitting it.
