I always hunt with arrows, but I suffer a lot of damage when I hunt medusas for example, should I use assassin stars in these creatures or arrows are always the best option?

I'm not a main RP, but as far as I know... from 150+ the diamond arrows and AOE damage is always the best option.

So, if I was an RP I would use assassin stars in places where a shield is required, from level 80 until lvl 149... (although I cannot think of a single place where it would be superior than life leech/mana leech/critical in a bow)

For medusas I guess I'd try to deal the most damage, since they take a lot of damage for physical. So, I'd not go for assassin stars...

Try a bow with life leech imbued, crit and mana, if you are having problems with sustain. It may help more than the assassin star + shield.

Is hard to say a hunt that worth to use assassin stars specially because we can not imbue it so arrows/bolt are better options. The good thing is that you can use a shield, so if you hunt Medusas without imbuements at your bow maybe Assassin stars might be an option, but if you hunt there already using imbuements (Critical, Void and Vampirism) soI do not recommend try to hunt using assassin stars because it will be a way worse.

I use assassin stars only to do bestiary and easy hunting tasks.

The answer is NEVER :)

It is always a better idea to use imbues to maximize your damage (critical, additional distance fighting), as well as avoid it (earth protection imbue, etc).

Even for the easy bestiary, it is always a better idea to use any kind of aoe arrows, diamond arrows or burst arrows if you are out of diamonds or you are doing bestiary of eg. rats :)
