What happened to the Flash Client for Tibia?

I remember we had a flash client and I wanted to know what happened to it because it was quite useful when you wanted to just use your browser. Why did they get rid of it?

When The client version 11 was implemented both Tibia 10 and Tibia Flash client were discontinued.

From wiki:

On October 25, 2017, it was announced that it would no longer be possible to log in any game world using the Flash Client starting the next day. i.e. Octoboer 26, 2017. This marked the official end of this client, 9 years after its first announcement and 6,5 years after the release of its first beta-version.

They didn't said why Flash were going to be discontinued, i think.

Maybe because of BattlEye and new Tibia 11 controls?!
