One a character is sold and eventually renamed in after purchase, it becomes hard to locate what happened to that character if someone else re-uses the old name.

Since auctions appear to have a number associated with the character, is there any way to locate the auctioned character's current status using the auction number?

There are a couple of ways to keep records of an auction, and using the auction ID is one of the most reliable methods. Here's how it works:

Use this link as a base:

https://www.tibia.com/charactertrade/?subtopic=currentcharactertrades&page=details&auctionid=

After the auctionid=, paste the specific auction ID. It will look something like this:

By doing this, you can locate the exact auction you're interested in. If you don’t trust links (which is a valid concern), here’s another way:

Navigate to any auction on Tibia.com.

Erase everything after the auctionid= in the URL.

Replace it with the auction ID you’ve saved.

This method ensures you can always find the auction without relying on someone else’s links.

Thanks! I was actually hoping to find the auctioned and renamed characters current status, so I have edited my original post for clarity.
