Can a level 100 use a shield with a level requirement of 200 or higher?

Hi! I know we can use weapons that are not for our levels (swords, clubs...) but we get an attack penalty.

But, can I use (equip) a shield for lvl 200 if I'm lvl 100? Is it going to work?

If anyone knows it, please, tell us!

Hey,

The exact same rules apply to shields as to weapons, that is:

• The defense stat will be reduced by 1 for every missing level.
• You won't get any buffs from the item.

So, essentially, in your case the defense stat will be reduced to 0 and you'll wield a 0-def shield. There may be some rare use-cases for this... like it will disable the defense of a one-handed weapon.

As an example, my 103 EK wearing an Ornate Shield doesn't get the physical reduction buff, and the defense is like I'd wear a 36-(130-103)=9 def shield. Again, only useful when you're measuring something ;)
