How to talk to one specific NPC when there are two NPCs near each other?

In Dawnport, there are two npcs in the same shop (Richard and Coltrayne). When I say hi, trade, both answer but only the trade of Coltrayne shows up.
The only way I can talk to Richard is to go around the shop in some sqm that Coltrayne does not see/hear me. Is there a way to direct my talk to one NPC? Something like "hi Richard" or "trade Richard"?

In this case, there's no point in trying to say Hi Richard or Hi Coltrayne, as both NPCs will respond.

What you can do is use the keywords. For Richard, say Food or Equipment. For Coltrayne, say Armor or Weapons.

Or wait for the NPCs to move away so you can talk to each one individually.
