Why monsters despawn by themselves?

I came across strange event.

I was just checking The Big Bad One (Edron) and one of the wolves all of sudden puffed. After 2 seconds, a monster began to spawn and what came from it was a bat.

Does anyone have idea why would this happen? Sadly I didn't take screenshots, 'cause it was really sudden and I didn't have time to react.

P.S There's no boosted respawn there.

I'm not sure, but saying it was a bat that spawned, looks like the same thing that happens in Darashia at night. When I was doing Wasps bestiary, all of a sudden the wasps turned into bats at night. At day they were Wasps and at night they were Bats. Maybe is the same case?

Nope, that tower in Darashia is well known for that. The event happened during the day for me anyways.

There's also other places where bats take the spot of other creatures. In Edron close to the boat to Grimvale there is a spot where a chicken spawn (or a sheep, I don't remember the creature) that also switches to a bat. But if it wasn't at night, then must be a mystery. The answer would be camp there for 30 minutes to check if it's the case. Good luck anyway.

Well in this region during the day a butterfly can be seen at The big bad one spot and during the night it turns into a bat it’s just a night change of creatures I camped there a lot to find that boss so it’s day/night normal change
