Does bestiary progress increase when you kill monsters in soulpit?

As the title says, is it possible to get bestiary progress in soulpit? For example if I join demon soulpit, will I get kill counts on Cyclopedia?

It's true, otherwise it would be too easy to complete rare bestiaries, let's say someone make a Yeti soul core with a soul prism or with a exalted core, then a full team gets kills of the Yeti, completing the bestiary. It would be unfair and make monsters lose it's rarity.

Based on my test server experiences you get no kills - here's a screenshot from bestiary after unlocking animus mastery for midnight panther (meaning that I have killed way more than 5 of them inside soul pit):

Note the animus mastery icon below and black outline of the panther, since I had no kills on that character before.
