Does mitigation works against elemental damages or just physical attacks?

After exploring the recent changes on the Wheel of Destiny and revealing some gems I came across the 5.00% Mitigation Multiplier one but does it works against elemental damage or just physical damage? Thanks.

Mitigation is a defensive property that all characters and monsters have. This mechanic reduces all damage of the common damage types (Physical, Earth, Ice, Fire, Energy, Holy and Death) by a percentage.

This do NOT include the Agony.
