If I have a 10 star prey, is it guaranteed to change with a wildcard?

According to Tibiawiki "If you are already at step 10 the bonus type is guaranteed to change with a wildcard."

Is this correct?

I don't recall 100% however I feel like I have kept the same prey type through a wildcard reroll even with 10 star prey.

Hello!

I will explain how this Preys work.  First of all if u have 10 Stars loot prey in Demon (its just and exemple)


10 Stars BONUS PREY -  DEMON  

• Choice 1 - After 2 Hours we lose prey, it will reset, random 9 monters, random "type" and random "lvl"
   
• Choice 2 - Reroll monster, free or paying the fee.
                     - You will get 9 new monsters on your prey sloot  but  10 STARS BONUS PREY will KEEP
   
• Choice 3 - Use 1 Preywilcard, monster will not change - Type will change (u cant repeat prey in the roll) - stars will keep 
  For example im perma prey in branchy crawler, and every 2hours i waste 1 preywilcard to keep the monster and keep 10 stars, somedays is loot, other days is damage and other days is defense/exp
  
  Its important to add that u can repeat the prey at roll if its diferents stars.
  EXEMPLE -
  2 stars EXP PREY ,  I use wildcard  - can be exp def loot and atack with always MORE STARS THAN 2
  
  If i have 10 Stars Exp Prey - i use wildcard - IT CAN ONLY ROLL TO 10 STARS LOOT DEFENSE AND ATACK

I always assumed it was random that my 10 star prey was rolling to another type.

Type is randome if u have 10 stars!

but u will never lose monster or 10 stars if u paying wildcards <3
