What is the purpose of the sleeping weretiger in Oskayaat?

There is a sleeping weretiger on top the building with the trainers in Oskayaat and when you step, white text pops up saying *the tiger gives you a warning look* Don't step on me or I will bite you. Now let me take my nap here. *he dozes off again*

What's the purpose of the sleeping weretiger? Is it part of a quest? Can you use any items on it? Can you interact with it at all other than stepping on it?

Most likely this is something extra or decorative to the map with no purpose beyond what can be easily noticed. There may even be a script for this but I don't believe it's something useful. I remember for example the Sample of Monster Blood that was used on a special skull inside The Extension Site and led to a room with a chest to get another...Sample of Monster Blood.

Taking into account that this is in a part of the map that few seem to have the initiative to go or even know how to climb, it seems even less likely that it has any use in the progress of the quest and could be more of a joke level of Deepling stairs in a lake in Kilmaresh that never existed beyond the teaser images that Cipsoft released.
