Why is it no longer possible to rope creatures?

As in the subject...

What is the reason why they cancelled roping creatures from holes and ladders?

When did it happened?

It was possible to rope all kind of monsters?

Since 2010.12.08 (update 8.7) it's no longer possible to rope monsters from the rope spots (it was possible to rope all monsters).

It seems it was done to prevent traps. Many new players have died on Rookgaard this way. It was against the tibia rules to set up traps, or block tunnels/entrances.

Another reason that I remember is: Rejana said that is some players with ow levels, rope creatures like dragons 1 by 1 to kill it easily and they (Cipsoft) want if you go to a cave/place you gonna need the level to face that place/creatures and dont take ''shortcuts''.
