What is normal loot distribution?

Hi!

With yesterday server save some bosses were changed to static to normal Loot distribution, how could normal loot distribution be explained? Is it completely random or how is loot distributed?

after this change you can drop several amount of basic items, for example

 instead of droping 4 gold tokens from every gold boss, now you can drop 1-7 gold tokens.

It is completely random how many you gonna drop
