I'm 470 ek and I was thinking about upgrading my armor (currently using ornate chestplate) to falcon plate. But chestplate tier 2 is tempting too. And cheaper.
I don't know what to choose, so that would be more useful on solo hunts.

Falcon plate, the 12% physical resistance is always available
Sadly the triggering chance of the Ruse upgrade at tier 2 is only 1.03%, so after 100 hits you would only dodge 1 of them.
-With the ornate chesplate at tier 2 with 8% protection:
Let's say you receive hits of 100 damage, due to the 8% physical protection, that would take you to 92 of damage, now if you receive 100 hits like those, then you would receive 9.2k damage, if you trigger the Ruse with a 1% chance, in the end you would receive 9.1k damage
-With the falcon chesplate you have 12% physical resistance, so if you receive the 100 damage you only get hit by 88 damage, if you take 100 hits of 88 damage, in the end you would receive 8.8k damage

It is quite expensive against an ornate chesplate, but in the long-term should protect you way more :)

Hello,

i have onwed a tier 2 Ornate Chestplate and see for my own thats its like nice to have it for team hunts if u dont need full physical protection but if u solo hunt a place in my opinion the 4% more physical is overall more worth then the tier 2 Ruse on the ornate.

so my advice buy a falcon plate.

guys I am 850 ek. The good thing about Ruse is that the higher the hits the more worth it is to use Ruse. For example in libraries, where physical dmge is not the main source of damage, (cause elemental dmge is), then Ruse is more useful. I prefer dodging a 1.2 k hit (physical or elemental) than getting 4% less on only physical dmge. So for low lvls i would go for the falcon plate, but in places where elemental dmge is noticeable I would go for a tier 2 ornate. Libraries (except energy) and true asuras are the perfect spots for it.
