Do you get more participation by taking stronger hits from bosses with participation system?

What happens if you wear a set who makes a certain boss hit you more than it should, would it count more to the participation system?

For example, if you face Boss X and He casts a Fire Spell and you have full Gill Set, the attack of Boss X gonna hurt you more, does this mean you gonna get more participation?

There is no way to know for certain as CIP doesn't disclose the formulas for these types of things but as far as I know yes. Damage taken is factored into participation, so taking more damage from a fire spell while wearing Gill Set would count. Same as there are ways to boost you damage against a boss so doing more damage would equal more participation.
