What is the maximum amount of items that can be put on a tile?

During test servers I wanted to get rid off some items but I couldn't, the according tile was too full and I got the message "there is no room". I forgot to check and count by myself but maybe someone knows how much space is on one tile? I am considering stacks or one item filling one spot in the window that get opened once you clicked "Browse Field".

I would love to see a screenshot showing the amount of pages and the slots of one page.

I stacked 24 pages of 32 items each page in a total of 768 items, and did not reached the limit. My guess is that only test servers have a limit for this, because the players throw so many stuff away. You can see the image here.

I tried to stack items by simply purchasing them from an npc with no backpack equipped and ignore capacity on. After 100 items under me, the message "there is not enough room" appears when trying to purchase more, although items can still be thrown on top
