What is the "grab a beer" option from the NPC Xaver during Orcsoberfest?

What it is? Is it a new option? I tried to do something with it but doesn't work. He told:

The only way to get a beer with this npc is buying the beer mug and using the barrel next to him, since you can only get it during the event
