How does the respawn of Water Buffalo work?

Question

In bestiary Water Buffalos are signed as rare monsters.

To be honest I didn't have any problem to complete it, because when I started to run among venore swamp area I found quite a lot of them, but the other day I came there - I didn't find even one.

I know that this respawn isn't regular, but could you explain how does it work exactly?

They appear every 4 hours starting from the server save, so you can find them at 10h, 14h, 18h, 22h, and 02h (based on the time CipSoft uses on their website). If you couldn't find any Buffalos, someone had to kill them and they didn't appear again.
