How does shared experience in a party work?

I have seen team hunt parties, hunting in 3 floors of cobras at the same time, sharing experience.

How is this possible?

Hi,

Shared experience will work if all party members stays at a certain distance from the party leader, they don't necessary have to be on the same floor. 

The distance of all party members to the leader must be smaller or equal to 30 fields (yelling distance), also works one floor up and one floor down.

So, in order to keep sharing  in this case I said, the leader of the party must be in the middle floor, and each one of the other members 1 floor up and one floor down.
