I've noticed over the last year that when I go to a place that isn't visited very often, the loot drops seem to be great for those creatures. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and is there any information about if this is a thing, or is it just a coincidence?

I got something similar about when I was retired and come back to game, I always saw my loot be very much better than usual in the first days of coming back to play

No, the loot of a creature is determined when it spawns (unless they changed this to be generated on death without telling anyone). In the case of a double loot weekend I assume both sets of loot are generated when the creature spawns. When you have a prey loot bonus, when the creature dies it will roll a second set of loot based on if the prey is activated.

I am not sure if it is still a thing and I couldn't find the old screenshots. But for example, when light settings were low, if a dragon was carrying a life crystal it would glow blue or a dragon lord would glow red if it had a fire sword. If creatures were carrying equipment it actually modified their stats but this has been changed in 2010 according to Mirade.

I don't think so :D

First of all I don't have such feelings. Sometimes loot is lucky for me, sometimes not - but it is really random.

Secondly I think that all loot systems are based on math - statistics, algorythms and it doesn't depend on things like popularity of a monster or any particular hunting ground.

I think that it is simply coincidence.

In my personal experience, I could go to a hunting spot that no one has touched all day and be the unluckiest person ever. But I see where you're coming from because during double loot weekend everyone was killing Ethershreck and I killed her 50x about in one day and I never looted 1 Golden Can of Oil but other people were lucky that day. Over the years Tibia sometimes adjusts loot, either adding or removing items or plays with the chance of items dropping. I'm not sure if Tibia limits the amount of rares a world can get in a day or if it's just completely random. For this, we will never know because we aren't the ones coding the loot drops! Your question is related to How is rare loot dropped? Is it by chance, time, random?
