What does the Antialiasing option at Tibia configuration?

What is the function of Antialiasing at Tibia client? Does it have any impact at my FPS ingame?

I tested out each Antialiasing mode and none of them effected my FPS. My FPS remained the same whether it was Smooth Retro, Antialiasing, or None. 

Antialiasing is for a Smooth Look. Retro is for an old school look. Smooth retro combines the two Retro and Antialising to create an old school smooth look.

It is just an option to give the game a more "retro look". Nevertheless, it optional. So if anyone does not like it, you have the option to turn it off.

I don't know if it impact your FPS, but the only difference I saw was in the graphics. You have three different options in Antialiasing: None, Smooth Retro and Antialiasing.

If you chose None, the graphics will have a retro look, more pixelated, to enjoy a retro look to your game.
If you chose Antialiasing, the graphics will look better, non-pixelated and more "clean" appearence.
And if you choose Smooth Retro, you'll get a mix between None and Antialiasing, with a pixelated graphic but a little bit "clean" look.
