If your offline or logged out can you still get boss loot?

Question

So I was reading that you can get boss loot if your logged off as long as you hit the boss once you can log off and it will appear in your chest for you to take later as long as others killed the boss. Is this true? I thought if you were logged off you cant take credit for loot.

The answer is, it depends!

The rule of thumb for most of bosses is that you need to be online and logged in order to receive part of the boss loot (for example, daily bosses and such). The Piñata Dragon is an exception of this rule, however.

I can't confirm if this is intended or not, but my perception is that the rewarding system for bosses works differently in some cases. It is a curious question to think about, without a comnplete answer as far as I know!

As far as I know, you need to be online by the time the Boss is killed. Otherwise you won't get loot.

At least when someone of my team dies or is kicked from a boss room, we ask him not to log out so he gets his part of the reward.

Piñata dragons do not work that way, though. I tested it this year and last year as well. You can get boss loot offline with these raid monsters!

i have to admit that I never thought of them as minibosses, ,and I had no idea they worked differently from others. Good to know!

If u get kicked from the boss but deal suficient amount of damage on him you will be able to open the reward box if you are online when the boss died. Now, if you are offline when he died, by the time you login in the game there will be no rewards for you.

It had already happened both situations with me.
