closed Can a sorcerer use a training rod even though there's training wands available?

I know that Druids and Sorcerers share the same offline training statue. My question is, can a sorcerer use a training rod instead of a training wand and it could still work? I would find this weird because I know their meant to use wands and not rods. I just want to know if it's effective just in case I accidentally click for a rod instead of a wand, if possible.
