Can I use Convergence transfer between items of different body slot?

For an example:

1) Suppose we have a COBRA ROD TIER 3

2) I want to transfer its TIER 3 into my Soulhexer

I know that I can use the CONVERGENCE TRANSFER to do that, pay 375,000,000 and have my SOULHEXER TIER 3 done. BUT, they are both from the same body slot (Weapon).

Can I use the same process to transfer from a COBRA ROD TIER 3, into a SANGUINE LEGS, for an example?

Both items are classification 4, the Sanguine Legs doesn't have any tier, but they are from different body slots. Is it doable OR if I want to transfer to a legs, I need a previously leveled up LEGS?

Yes, you can make a convergence transfer using equipments from different body slots. And there is no need to increase the legs tier.
