Why can't I kill bosses after purchasing characters?

I bought a character today and even though I killed the bosses, it doesn't show them in the bosstiary. What could be the reason for this?

It depends. There are some bosses that even after dealing damage to them, doesn't count for bosstiary, unless you are the highest damage dealer, and there is also bosses which is not in the bosstiary. To help you understand what happened, we need more details on which bosses you have killed.
