Has CIP ever given blessings to all characters for free?

Question

I have several noob chars (level 8) who are very old (~2006). I noticed all of them have all blessings like this:

As I have been retired for a while, I wonder when/how/why I got those blessings. I have no recollection of purchasing them for level 8's, and for sure I didn't play with those chars after the introduction of Twist of Fate.

I remember in ~2012 when Cip gave lots of scroll things to compensate for the massive lag and disruptions that they suffered from DDoS attacks. But, as far as I remember, those scrolls were only to activate xp boosts (that would last for days and not just one hour). Those xp scrolls were before the store was implemented. I don't remember receiving free blessing though.

Yes!!! Cipsoft gave all chars free blessings in 2012 because of attacks DDoS but it wasn’t automatic you had to talk to a NPC temple to get the blessings

Can you be more specific? Is there a news ticker announcing that? And do you mean all blessings or just Twist of Fate?

Also, I'm sure I didn't use charms for this purpose - it must have been something applied automatically.
