What do we know about the Holy Crab?

In Port Hope, there's a location with the "Holy Crab" which is seen in Crocodiles. I am wondering if there's anything more we know about this crab. Is there a story behind him? Every time I go to Crocodiles I am always drawn to how interesting this crab is. It also reminds me of the Holy Scarab :)
