As we know, with the 25th anniversary, a new world boss Morshabaal was added. What is the tactic / strategy to defeat this boss?

Okay, so here are things we just learned from Gentebra - world that just defeated the boss. Keep in mind these might be wrong or misinterpreted, it's all based on things done during the boss fight.

Overview

  • Morshabaal has two counters:
    • Green: lasts 25 seconds and is the period when you can hit the boss
    • Red: lasts 5 seconds and during this time if the boss takes damage it might turn into Enraged or Furious, or fully heal
      • Enraged and Furious versions seem to be more resistent and have stronger damage reflection
  • The pillars in the room are immortal and will reflect any damage received. AoE damage is extremely not recommend as you'll probably hit multiple pillars. We've seen 500+ mages dying in one hit from the reflection.
  • Morshabaal will cause fear quite often. Bring bombs to protect yourself from it.
  • Everyone in the room takes 800 death damage approx. every 2 seconds.
  • It's not possible to summon familiars in the room.
  • If you leave the room you need to wait a cooldown of 3 minutes to be able to go back in.
  • You need to be level 150 to go in the room (yet to be confirmed but likely to be accurate)
  • Magic walls and wild growth runes are instantly broken in the room.
  • EKs blocking the boss will have a counter next to their names which goes up to 20. It's currently unknown how this affects the character or the fight itself.
  • IMPORTANT: Make sure to not make a chain of players through multiple sqms. Morshabaal has an ice type attack that will affect everyone in the chain (players standing next to each other) and increase as further as it goes (as in, the player furthest from the boss and in the chain will receive the highest damage). On Gentebra this happened once and the last player on the chain took 35k+ damage.

 Strategy (used on Gentebra)

First the main team got in the room and lured Morshabaal northeast, where they could position Morshabaal diagonally, avoiding ebeam, retargeting and waves hitting shooters. All shooters stacked far east in the room as far as possible from the boss. Some sorcerers were out of the stack casting debuffs.

Every time the green counter started every one would start attacking, then once the counter was getting closer to ending people would stop attacking and wait the red counter. When performed correctly, Morshabaal wouldn't transform into Enraged or Furious versions and the steps would be repeated over and over. In case Enraged or Furious would appear instead, you'd still attack the boss but damage reflection is a lot higher, so damage tended to be lower. Knowing that, you'll want to do the mechanic correctly as much as possible in order not to infuriate Morshabaal.

Once its life gets red it turns very resistant to damage but you should just continue with the steps previously mentioned. Once it's close to death - black health - it will run away! Make sure to have EKs surrounding it in order to keep DPS and not cause panic in the room. If the boss is controlled and DPS continues coming you should success.

tl;dr Attack the boss when the green counter is running, stop attacking when the red counter is running

Good luck! :)
