Is it possible to improve umbral items with Tier 3 (classification 3) to umbral master items with classification 4?

I am still learning about Exaltation Forge and how it works with different items. I am curious about umbral items with tier, if I can improve them to umbral master items.

My questions:

Can I improve umbral items with Tier 3 (classification 3) to umbral master items with classification 4?

If yes, what will happen with Tier 3? Will I have umbral master items (classification 4) with Tier 3 or Tier 0?

Nope, it is impossible to transform your umbral items once tiered up, as stated here by CM Skerio:

It is not possible to improve or transform a tiered umbral item. Eruaran will likely receive some new text in the future to state this in-game.
