What happens to a character on my VIP list if it gets deleted?

Question

I suspect a character in my world got deleted as Tibia's website says it doesn't exist anymore however I still have the character listed on my VIP list, which is making me a bit confused.

Is it possible that something else happened instead?

Hello Ricci! 

When a char gots deleted it stills appears on your VIP, however I'm not sure how long it keeps on your VIP.

A friend got deleted like 3 months ago and his character name stills appears on my VIP, as  shows on the following pics:

Interesting... I wonder if it has anything to do with let's say the time when the name is available for someone else to take. But then what if the character is in the same world vs a different world.

I believe is 6 months, like name change.

I guess if someone create a char with his name it gonna disappears on my VIP.
Actually i think is available to use the name once it appears as non exist on the page.
