How I can change appearance of Folded Artefact carpet?

Hello, I wonder how I can change look of artefact carpets. Do I need get something by myself?

Answer 1

1. First you have to do the Adventures of Galthen Quest, otherwise you won't be able to change any of the carpets.
2. Then, do the quests related to the artefacts corresponding to each colorful carpet you want to make.
3. Get the folded artefact carpets you want. After doing step #1 you can buy them directly from NPC John in Bounac for 10,000 gold each.
4. Unfold the artefact carpets in your house or guildhall.
5. Select option Use with..., then click on the corresponding artefact*.

*Artefact carpets and their corresponding artefacts can be seen on the table below.

Does the item disappear later or can you use it multiple times?

The item doesn't disappear, therefore you can use multiple cloth fragments - this is how the folded artefact carpets are called when unfolded -  on the same artefact.
Although we didn't confirm it yet, I believe the only requirements to change the cloth fragments is to have access to the artefacts, not mattering how they were obtained or if any related quest was done.

Is it difficult to get the cloth fragments during the quest/hunt???

They are sold for 10k gp after you've reached a certain part of the quest implemented on last update.

If you click on any of the folded carpets links, you will see this note, under the trade table, explaining the requirement you need in order to buy them:
"After completing the Galthen and the Lost Queen mission of the Adventures of Galthen Quest."
In order to know more about the quest, just click on it.

Lee Kun bought them for me, but I couldn't make them colourful. So maybe you have to do the quest to use them. Thats what I'm saying.
The note at Fandom is about trade with NPC.

Oh, your previous question was about how to get the cloth fragments, so I presumed you were still talking about that.
Since this is something new and the devs didn't want to spoil it during the test server, we're still discovering all requirements involved. It seems you and Lee just discovered you have to do the quest in order to change the carpets to their colorful version.

That's a problem for me, but it's fair, we are talking about prime artefacts, hard and mysterious quests afterall.

Ogun, can you please clarify- you couldn't do any of them or some particular ones- where you been missing a quest/achievement?

The only one I have the related quest is The Cube, and I coudn't use it. The other carpets I have are the Seed of Life, and True Book of Death but none worked.

I don't have The Adventures of Galthen sou I couldn't colour any of the carpets. Kept testing with some friends and discovered you can only colour the one you have the related quest, even after defeating Megasylvan Yselda! Something that overachievers would never guess.
