When I ask NPC Buddel for passage, he says that he wants to take my Dwarven Ring:

11:08 Buddel: Ohh, you got a nice ring there! Ya don't have to pay if you gimme the ring and I promise you I will bring you to the correct spot!*HICKS* Alright?

Do I always have to pay NPC Buddel with Dwarven Ring for travelling? Is there a way to not to pay him with the ring?

There are four options in this case:

First: You pay the Ring and you travel for sure where you wanna go.

Second: You say "no" while he is asking for the Ring and then you have to pay 50 gp, but there is a chance for not landing on the right spot.

Third: You dont have a Dwarven Ring with you. Then he will only ask for the 50 gp, but there is also a chance for not landing on the right spot.

Fourth: You wear a Dwarven Ring. Then he will also only ask for 50 gp (same like the third option).

I tried this aswell. It is the same like not having a Ring with you. He only ask for 50 gp.
