Are the guilds preserved on a game world merge?

In an event of a game world merge happening for two or more servers, are all the guilds from all former worlds automatically moved to the new game world? Will they keep their members and stats (like created date / members joining date)?

Yes, the guilds are preserved. All the guilds from the worlds that are getting merged will exist on a new world. This is also confirmed by a CM on the forum

Characters will keep their names, stats, belongings and quest flags. Guilds will be preserved so they will also exist on the new game world.
