What happens if you are inside a place where you can't logout and the server shuts down?

Hello! A few minutes ago my friends and I, were doing a quest and we got the message that the server was going to shut down. We couldn't log out and we were in the middle of the boss.

Has someone been in a similar situation? If so, what is going to happen when I enter back to the game? Also, is it possible that we'll die? Thanks in advance.

So after the all servers were back again I enter back to my char and It was on temple, but there is some interesting facts and I would like to shared.

• I got teleported to Temple but I didnt die.
• I only lost the boss that me and my friends were doing, we didnt get any loot but we couldn't make it again because it shows we have cooldown. 

Apart of that nothing happened.

Your character remains connected once the server comes back online. So, yes its possible see your character dead once you loggin on the game again.
