What is the best strategy to find Draptors?

I want to tame Draptor so for what I know so far, he appears in invasions, so how does it work? What is the best strategy to find?

In my opinion the best strategy is to focus on checking Draptor's spawn places on Razachai Palace on level -3, because there you've got spawn of 4 Draptors +/- every third day. It's more often than raid on Muggy Plains. Disadvantage of this raid is that it is unannounced.

To tame Draptor use Music Box , because it gives you 100% chance of success.

However if your level is too low to run there easily, you can help yourself by participating in Draptors' raid on Muggy Plains.

Announcement:

"The dragons of the Dragonblaze Mountains have descended to Zao to protect the lizardkin!"

It appeats about once a week. I think that ammount of Draptors is quite ranom. I heard that 10, but once I killed this raid solo and there were only 3 Draptors.

I think nowadays, especially on a crowded servers it's quite hard to tame it during this raid, because everybody want to kill it to complete bestiary. But don't give up and simply try your luck in any occasion.

Hello fellow Tibian, let me see if I can help clear your cloudy mind on this subject.

TLDR: When raid message pops up you have 15 minutes until they spawn in Muggy Plains, use Music Box for 100% tame chance, use speed items to run between their various spawn points, remember that you probably aren't the only one looking for the draptor so you have to be fast!

The draptors spawn during the invansion (Raid) on Muggy Plains. There are about 5-6 known spawn locations of the draptors according to the Tibia.wikia page addressing the monster. When I tamed my first draptor I used a full speed set and time rings, plus any other speed boosting thing I could find and just ran between the 5-6 locations. Keep in mind that after you see the first message of the raid beginning the draptors will not spawn until approximately 15 minutes after that message. 

When you see "The dragons of the Dragonblaze Mountains have descended to Zao to protect the lizardkin!" make sure to be in Muggy Plains 15 minutes after that message. There will be three waves at 15 minutes after raid message another at 20 and another at 25 minutes. Most importantly never give up hope, if you don't get it on the next raid remember that there will always be another raid!
