Is Leaves Item sprite based on map coordinates?

Question

I was decorating my house and I had a surprise, the plants I lured from venore changed sprite when I changed their positioning:

I didn't know such a thing was possible, is it really how it works?

Is there any other item with this "feature" ?

Theres a crystal which works this way, i dont remember the name, you can get  it in mainland (one friend showed me, but idk where)... u can find it on burster spectre cave on darashia too (near  the teleport)... when u move sqms he changes his form drasticaly

Yes, this leaves are bugged. In my house on venore and carlin, it is the same with them, on the lower always on the 1st and 2nd row sqm in the house from below, the upper sqm are fine. this sometimes makes decorating even more difficult, unless you can't do anything about it. It seems to me that this is the only object with which this happens, even the smaller version of the leaves doesn't turn this way.

Same happens with the small leaves. I guess this leaves changes looks depending on the sqm we put them. About another item that this happens too just  this mini leaves, I dont know any other.
